So now you want me played on BBC Introducing
Dean Jackson and the Beat team played So now you want me on BBC Introducing East Midlands on Thursday 15 October 2026, less than a week after it came out. That is our second BBC Introducing play in five weeks, and we are made up.
2 spins on BBC Introducing on the bounce? Wow, we cannot believe it! We're super super grateful as a band that this has happened. We never expected our first single Stronger to get played, since there's obviously quite a lot up against you competition-wise, so we were absolutely bouncing off the walls when that happened, and then for So now you want me to get played as well, wow.
Marshall Fairbrother, bass
Two singles, two plays. Thank you to BBC Introducing East Midlands for backing a new band twice in a row, and to everyone who tuned in and sent us messages.
What is BBC Introducing?
BBC Introducing is the BBC's scheme for unsigned and undiscovered artists. Musicians upload their own tracks, the regional teams listen to everything, and the best get played on air. Our regional show is BBC Introducing in the East Midlands, presented by Dean Jackson and the Beat team, with new music from across the East Midlands and Lincolnshire every week on BBC local radio and BBC Sounds.
If you have not heard it yet, So now you want me is on our music page and on every streaming service.
